Then we added the white hempseed oil--which is said to help in preventing hair breakage by reducing the combing force of wet hair. Camelina oil is also in this, which, being high in vitamin E, is super delicious for happy hair and scalp. These wonderful ingredients are but three of the many luscious ingredients that these bars contain. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe used rhassoul clay as well as rose kaolin clay in these shampoo bars. Rhassoul can give hair a glossy sheen. This fantastic clay may also cleanse impurities from the scalp as well as excess oil. At the same time, the exfoliating and conditioning properties of rhassoul clay could work to condition hair and give it volume. Rose kaolin clay can help absorb excess oil as well as help to prevent hair breakage. We also added organic rose petal powder to these. Rose petal is moisturizing, silkening and just a lovely additive for happy hair.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a solid, zero waste shampoo that has ingredients that adore hair. We included silk peptides and vitamin E and DL Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B-5). We've also added pure biotin! My own hair LOVES this stuff! The fragrance... tough to describe, but... This fragrance is a fresh rain and earthy patchouli with notes of lily of the valley, cyclamen, fresh ozone, earthen moss, and hints of sweet citrus. Along with that fragrance oil, I added an extra amount of patchouli essential oil...which just makes it... delicious. And while I know what smells wonderful to one person may not be to another person's taste... seriously. This stuff smells utterly yummy. Not a sharp patchouli scent, and not really floral. It's really uniquely gorgeous, rich and clean. My hair smells good for days!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSolid conditioner bars, made with certified organic white hemp oil and cupuacu butter, is also such a lovely companion to the shampoo. With the same fragrance oil and patchouli oil combo as the shampoo, it is a delight. We used the cupuacu butter for this bar, which is said to keep your hair stronger, because it's utterly divine. It's said to prevent split ends, reduce damage from coloring your hair and help the color stay locked into your hair for longer. The conditioning and smoothing ability in this combo is really wonderful. We also have DL Panthenol (ProVitamin B-5) in this, as well as veggie keratin, biotin and vitamin E oil. It makes my hair feel like silk! And the fragrance left behind is like a light, delicate cloud surrounding you for hours--or even days.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSolid shampoo and conditioner bars are easy to use and last quite a while, as long as they're not left in standing water. Leaving the shampoo or any natural soaps or solid conditioners in a puddle makes them soften and melt. So we HIGHLY recommend that between uses, it be kept on a rack (like those wire or plastic racks that hang over the shower head, or even better, a bamboo-type wooden rack) to dry out. The drier, the harder the shampoo, conditioner or soap stays. The harder the shampoo, conditioner or soap is maintained, the longer it lasts! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo, they last a respectably long time, especially if they are allowed to dry between uses.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo use: Wet your hair as usual, then rub the bar between your hands and apply the lather. Or you can rub the bar directly on hair, then lather. My personal preference is to use the bars directly on hair. For the conditioner, I apply directly to hair, while it's soaking wet from rinsing out the shampoo, concentrating on the ends. I leave it in for a couple of minutes, then rinse thoroughly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shampoo bars are 3 ounces, about 33% larger than many others. The conditioner bars are 2 ounces, and it lasts, and lasts, and lasts! For me, one conditioner bar usually holds out for two shampoo bars--and the shampoo bars hold out for a long time. For me, one shampoo bar lasts about as long as a 16-20 ounce bottle of commercial liquid shampoo.
