Be Joyful Salt & Caffeine Facial Bar (with Cedarwood, Sweet Orange and Frankincense Essentials) -- And now with ALOE!

I have officially fallen in LOVE with salt & caffeine facial soaps! Like many, I had questions about how salt would affect my face. And caffeine?!? Let me tell you a little about these facial bars.

Himalayan pink salt is, in my opinion, AWESOME stuff. It has trace minerals, like potassium, calcium, magnesium... and more! The two words that come to mind when I use this bar are "refreshed" and "ENERGIZED!" And from the first time I used it, my skin felt like silk. Clean but not dried out.

Frankincense powder: Frankincense is an astringent, in that it is often used to tighten and tone loose, sagging or lax tissues. It smooths wrinkles and improves your skin's elasticity.

Do your own research... you will find out all kinds of great stuff about this stuff. I also used a very INCREDIBLY mild surfactant in this soap--to help with lather and hyper-gentle cleansing. This is the stuff you'd use for babies. So, unlike a lot of salt bars out there, this one will actually give you decent lather, albeit of the non-drying variety. In this soap, I also used castor oil (cleanses pores thoroughly), illipe butter (non-greasy, deeply penetrating), shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil. This has three essential oils--Sweet Orange, Frankincense and Himalayan Cedarwood (atlas)...all of which are utterly FANTASTIC.

The three essentials I've combined for this facial bar (Cedarwood, Sweet Orange and Frankincense) is literally one of the best essential oil combos I have EVER smelled in concert with one another. They compliment each another in such a way that they seem to intertwine themselves like they were created that way. You smell the orange. You smell that particular breed of cedarwood. It's different than the Virginia or Texas-type cedarwood. This is more rounded. Softer. More complex. Not smokey like so many cedarwood oils are. Please research for yourself. These are fantastically lovely. It is earthy, not floral or really fruity.

As you can see from the photos, the soap isn't "white" as it says. It's just that there isn't an option for the pale, cream color of these bars—with little rosy pink flecks, from the pink salt! The aloe vera in them also causes a slightly darker color than in the past, but... aloe! Aloe is a terrific product for happy skin! For those who have used our Be Joyful in the past, be aware that the aloe vera in this means that it has a darker color to it. Don't be concerned; it's totally the same soap, but made with a greater amount of aloe vera in the liquid base. It's FANTASTIC. Even better, in my opinion!

I have this in different sizes/shapes. I have trial bars (which I typically send as samples), botanical-themed ovals and rectangles, and large sunflowers. The quantity of each is in the listing's drop-down. The net weight of each is:

Trial bar: 1 oz
Large sunflower: 5 oz
Botanical leaf rectangle: 4+ oz
Botanical leaf oval: 3+ oz

My skin has never felt or looked better since using this bar. And it lasts and lasts and lasts... I recommend using it with a wash cloth for best results, or a facial brush. And, like all handmade soaps, KEEP IT OUT OF STANDING WATER. The drier it is kept between uses, the longer it lasts. I also recommend using a soap rack. It allows air to circulate and dry the bottom, not just the top.
