Blue Zero Waste Shampoo or Conditioner Bars

This shampoo and conditioner bars are knock-your-socks-off terrific! If you're familiar with a famous-maker fragrance by a similar name, you guessed it: This has THAT heavenly scent. The ingredients are superb, as well. The fragrance notes in this are described as a fresh aquatic that opens with cedar, apple and bluebells, a bouquet of jasmine, bamboo and white rose bottoming out with cedarwood and musk. And oh my goodness. The word "fresh" doesn't begin to describe how beautiful this one smells.

There are so many wonderful ingredients in this, as well! With amla fruit oil, argan oil, shea butter, vitamin E, DL Panthenol (ProVitamin B-5), and much more, these bars are really, REALLY nice, leaving hair with shine, body and cleanliness--without stripping or drying.

The shampoo bar has Cambrian blue clay in it, along with those ingredients mentioned above, as well as biotin and bhringraj powder. We added vegetable glycerin--just a touch--for deep-penetrating moisture and great comb-out! The list of ingredients for the shampoo: Sodium cocoyl isethionate (coconut-based surfactant cleanser that's super gentle); SLSA, gentle cleanser, also from coconut; BTMS, a lovely conditioning agent from the rapeseed plant; cetyl and cetearyl, both from coconut and/or palm, conditioning agents; shea butter; amla oil; argan oil; coco betaine (hyper-gentle cleanser); DL Panthenol (ProVitamin B-5); biotin; veggie keratin; vitamin E; veggie glycerin; bhringraj powder; Cambrian blue clay; fragrance; mica colorant. These shampoo bars weigh 3.1 ounces, about 30% larger than many out there.

The conditioner bar is excellent, too! We used BTMS (conditioning agent from rapeseed plant); cetearyl and cetyl (conditioning agents from coconut); argan oil; amla fruit oil; coconut oil; shea butter; polyquaternium-7 (one of the very best conditioning agents, EVER); silk peptides; veggie keratin; vitamin E oil; DL Panthenol; cyclomethicone (trace amount) and mica colorant. These bars weigh 2 ounces (closer to 2.5 oz) and last a LONG TIME.

The conditioner feels so wonderful! And a little goes a long, long way. All of the ingredients were selected to smooth and silken hair. And bonus: this also makes a wonderful lotion bar for skin in the shower!

To use, just rub the shampoo bar over wet hair, and lather up. Some prefer to lather it in their hands and then apply to hair. Rinse and repeat (if desired). The conditioner works best when hair is VERY wet and freshly shampooed. Pay special attention to the ends when rubbing it onto the hair.

Keep your bars out of standing water. The drier they are, the longer they last. Leaving them to melt in water will diminish their longevity. Use of a wooden or plastic soap rack is highly suggested!
