Fresh Green Apple Solid Shampoo or Conditioner Bars -- with Cupaucu Butter, Dead Sea clay, Mugwort and White Hemp Oil

The very tart scent of McIntosh apples is at the heart of these bars! We love the scent-- it's just such a fresh, fruity apple scent! And by tart, I mean that it's got that crunchy, green-apple tartness that almost cramps your jaw! In these, we used cupuacu butter (in both shampoo and conditioner) and let me say... that stuff is utterly incredible for hair! Not greasy, just lovely. It's a super-conditioner that would be almost impossible to beat.

The Shampoo Bar:
Sulfate-free, these shampoo bars are really wonderful for happy hair. These were formulated for those with oily hair, but are not drying, either.

We use sodium cocoyl isethionate in our solid, zero-waste type shampoo bars, avoiding the sulfates entirely. Everything in these is plant-based! We used organic avocado in these bars, as well, and Dead Sea clay for its vitamins and healthy hair minerals. They lather beautifully, smell delicious, and leave hair shiny and clean. The ingredients are: Sodium cocoyl isethionate powder + noodles, cocomidapropyl betaine, SCSI, organic avocado, Dead Sea clay, BTMS, cupuacu butter, DL Panthenol (ProVitamin B-5), silk peptides, stearic acid, fragrance, mica colorant.

These shampoo bars weigh 3 ounces, and will last for a long while. For me, they last at least as long as a 16 to 20 ounce bottle of commercial shampoo--but without the water and without the plastic bottle! NO LANDFILLS!

The Conditioner Bar:
In these, we went all out! Using mugwort-infused rice bran oil, combined with white hemp oil, these are just a fresh drink of water for dried out hair. We have cupuacu butter in this bar, as well. Cupuacu is able to literally ABSORB many times its own weight in water, keeping al that lovely moisture available to your hair and scalp. If you're unfamiliar with cupuacu butter, please google it and see for yourself just how wonderful and magical it is. Just superb! The ingredients are BTMS, cetyl, cupuacu butter, white hemp oil, mugwort-infused rice bran oil, polyquaternium-7, DL Panthenol, veggie keratin, vitamin E oil, mica colorant, cyclomethicone (trace) and silk peptides.

The conditioner bars tend to outlast even that long-lasting shampoo in most cases. They weigh 2 ounces. One bar lasts about 2 months for me, using it 3x to 4x per week.

To use: Wet your hair as usual, then rub the bar between your hands and apply the lather. Or you can rub the bar directly on hair, then lather. My personal preference is to use the bars directly on hair. For the conditioner, I apply directly to freshly washed hair, while it's soaking wet from rinsing out the shampoo, concentrating on the ends. I leave it in for a couple of minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

As with all hair care products, keep out of eyes.
