If you want a shampoo and/or conditioner that has the wow factor, look no further! This one, made with true white jasmine oil, natural fragrance and even a tiny bit of rose oil, is just so lovely and memorable! It smells something like Water Blossom from B&BW--that's as much of a comparison I can give--but has that little something "extra" that is just beautiful! The scent notes are: Top - Lavender and Rose; Middle - Ivy and Jasmine; Base - Musk and White musk.
The ingredients in the shampoo, which includes bhringraj oil (used a lot in Asia for beautiful, happy hair), organic powdered avocado (deep, natural moisture), Dead Sea clay (cleanses scalp, protects), frankincense powder (hair retention), bamboo and biotin--among other wonderful ingredients--knocks our socks off! Beyond those fabulous and hair loving additives, it's got a bit of BTMS to deep condition (from the rapeseed plant), DL Panthenol (ProVitamin B-5), jojoba oil, coco betaine (very gentle lathering agent made from coconut), shea butter, veggie keratin, vitamin E, bamboo extract (to strengthen strands), vegetable glycerin (promotes moisture retention), silk peptides (strengthens and promotes elasticity).
The conditioner ingredients are: BTMS, cetyl, cetearyl (both conditioning agents from coconut and/or palm), shea butter, coconut oil, castor oil (great at moisturizing/protecting), jojoba oil, polyquaternium-7 (conditions, moisture retention), DL Panthenol, silk peptides, vegetable keratin, vitamin E, optiphen (natural preservative), fragrance, and trace amount of cyclomethicone (fantastic detangler).
Solid shampoo and conditioner bars are easy to use and last quite a while, as long as they're not left in standing water. Leaving the shampoo or any natural soaps or solid conditioners in a puddle makes them soften and melt. So we HIGHLY recommend that between uses, they be kept on a rack (like those wire or plastic racks that hang over the shower head, or even better, a bamboo-type wooden rack) to dry out. The drier they are, the harder the shampoo, conditioner or soap stays. The harder the shampoo, conditioner or soap is maintained, the longer it lasts!
To use: Wet your hair as usual, then rub the bar between your hands and apply the lather, or you can rub the bar directly on hair (my preference), then lather. For the conditioner, I also apply directly to hair, while it's SOAKING wet from rinsing out the shampoo... concentrating on the ends. I leave it in for a couple of minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
The shampoo bars are 3 ounces, about 33% larger than many others. The conditioner bars are 2 ounces, and they lass, and last, and last! For me, one conditioner bar usually holds out for two shampoo bars. For me, one shampoo bar lasts about as long as a 16-24 ounce bottle of commercial liquid shampoo. You save about $1 by getting the shampoo and conditioner as a pair!
As with all hair care products, keep out of eyes.
