Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Solid Shampoo or Conditioner Bars

If you're looking for a shampoo bar that cleans AND imparts a delicate amount of moisture to your hair, we have these delightful bars to offer! They are ecologically friendly, wrapped in glassine-paper (no wax, no plastic!) and with biodegradable labels, too! With these, there are no plastic bottles to go into a landfill. No plastic bottles to end up in the ocean. :) Just an eco-friendly bar of great shampoo or conditioner, in eco-friendly paper!

The ingredients in our solid shampoo bars are as close to nature as we could come, while still providing a great product that our clients have asked for. If you've ever used these pressed-type bars (called SynDet bars, well known and popular with major makers), you know that they are extremely similar to bottled shampoo in retail stores. The main difference is that our bars contain NO water whatsoever. You just wet your hair and apply! Work it in... they lather up extremely well. Then rinse! They smell WONDERFUL, and last a really long time. Try to be sure you keep it out of standing water -- if you allow the bar to dry (or be in a dry place) after using, and it will last much longer.

All of our products are made in small batches, which allows us to control the wonderful quality of all our products. We use the best of everything, never cutting corners on quality or materials. In this shampoo, we use great stuff like illipe butter, shea butter, cocoa butter or cupuacu butter, to impart a very gentle moisture without greasiness. We also use DL Panthenol -- pro-Vitamin B-5 -- for a sleek silkiness that feels glorious and looks wonderful. We also use an organically-sourced SLSA, for great lather!

Shampoo:
For this shampoo bar, we used rhassoul clay and amla fruit oil, both of which are superbly renowned for their love of hair and scalp! World-wide, these two very special ingredients are used for helping hair be its most confident! The scent, oatmeal, milk and honey, is sweet and lovely. We also used vanilla bean powder in this, which is said to strengthen hair. We LOVE this one. The lather, the scent, the shiny, full hair... yummy!

Conditioner:
My conditioner bars contain some lovely ingredients. A couple of these are called BTMS 25 and 50 -- the common name for Behentrimonium Methosulfate. This is a NON-sulfate, despite its name, derived from rapeseed oil. Prized for its effective detangling abilities, it’s able to penetrate the hair shaft making it an excellent moisturizer and conditioner, while remaining gentle on the hair and skin, without coating the scalp or causing buildup. It’s also has hair thickening properties. Also, I use various butters and oils, each of which have wonderful properties. I use veggie-derived keratin, silk peptides, and vitamin E! I also use Pro-Vitamin B-5 (DL Panthenol) which leaves hair healthier, shinier, and with a great silky feel. These conditioner bars really do make my fine, not particularly thick, hair shine. It combs out beautifully when wet from washing, and dries with a really pleasant, silky feel.
For this Oatmeal, Milk and Honey conditioner, we used the absolutely wonderful amla fruit oil, illipe butter and shea butter, silk peptides, veggie keratin, and DL Panthenol (pro-vitamin B-5). The scent is so pleasant, a warm, gentle fragrance that lingers gently.

The shampoo bars weigh 3 oz, and the conditioner just over 2 oz. Keep the bars out of standing water, and allow to dry between uses for best, longest lasting results. The shampoo bar lasts a bit longer than a typical 16 oz bottle of shampoo, and the conditioner bar lasts longer even than that, typically.

As we said above, our goal is to provide eco-friendly products, which won't add anything more to landfills or the ocean, so we package our bars in fully biodegradable paper.
