Scarborough Faire Shampoo and or Conditioner Bars

Scarborough Faire Nettle, Rosemary and Thyme Shampoo, Zero Waste Solid, or Conditioner Bar… a wonderful spin of essential oils and fabulous ingredients!

Are you going to Scarborough Faire...? Now that the song is stuck in your head, how about a shampoo that is knock-your-socks-off wonderful? These shampoo and conditioner bars are terrific! Made with so, so many good things, it's fair (see what I did there? lol) PACKED with GREAT STUFF!

With the zero-waste type, also known as syndet, we packed it OUT with great, hair and scalp loving stuff! For those familiar with the original saponified type, it's got even MORE wonderful ingredients! The original, flower shaped, is really wonderful too, for those seeking that type of haircare. Our ingredients are literally top-shelf and formulated to treat hair beautifully.

• The zero-waste solid syndet bar ingredients: Sodium cocoyl isethionate (very gentle cleansing, made from coconut), SLSA (cleansing, from coconut and/or palm), organic turmeric (may help hair appear thicker), Dead Sea clay, dried nettle (loaded with sulfur and silica), dried parsley (high in copper), dried rosemary (helps to soothe, cleanse), dried sage (helps with shine, conditioning, soothing), dried oregano (loaded with vitamin C, it's often used to cleanse follicles), camu camu (deeply conditioning, loaded with vitamin C), BTMS (natural conditioning agent, from the rapeseed plant), shea butter (moisture), cetyl (from coconut, a conditioning agent), stearic (from coconut and/or palm, feeds hair and scalp), camelina oil (loaded with vitamin E, feeds and protects scalp and hair), olive oil (gentle moisture), argan oil (loaded with fatty acids, smooths and hydrates), coco betaine (gentle, made from coconut, natural cleanser), DL Panthenol (ProVitamin B-5), bamboo extract (strengthens strands, feeds scalp), vegekeratin, vitamin E, biotin, caffeine powder, essential oils of sweet orange, rosemary, pink grapefruit, sweet basil, thyme, Japanese peppermint. These syndet bars weigh in at a solid 3 ounces, about 30% larger than many others. And they last a good long while, too! One bar lasts (for me) as long or longer than a 20 oz bottle of liquid shampoo, depending on how heavily you use it. The deep yellow coloring is a result of the turmeric. Because of its organic nature, it may lighten in color from the photo. That doesn't affect the goodness!

Overall, the zero-waste syndet in this product is one of the finest bars we have ever made. 

• Ingredients for the conditioner bar: BTMS, cocoa butter, coconut oil, bhringraj oil, nettle infused avocado oil, Olivem-1000, cetyl (fatty) alcohol,  Pro-Vitamin B-5, Vitamin E, silk protein, vegetable keratin, Polyquaternium-7 (excellent moisture-giving conditioner), cyclomethicone (trace amount), essential oils of: rosemary, sweet orange, sweet basil, pink grapefruit, Japanese peppermint, thyme; and optiphen (an all natural preservative.

The conditioner... how to define the PERFECT feel... we used cocoa butter, combined with bhringraj and castor oils, as well as nettle-infused avocado oil. This conditioner bar has 6 essential oils, and smells SO fresh, clean and herbalicious, but not overwhelming at all!  The scent is from essential oils ONLY, of Rosemary, sweet orange, pink grapefruit, Japanese peppermint and thyme! All of these essentials are touted for their hair and scalp benefits. ALL of them. The conditioner is a 2 oz bar of delightful goodness and is a match for our Scarborough Faire Nettle and Rosemary shampoo! And this bar lasts a LONG while. I usually use 1 conditioner bar to 2 shampoo bars...and the shampoo lasts a WHILE. This conditioner lasts SO long.
