Sea Salt and Rice Flower Solid Shampoo or Conditioner Bars
If you're looking for a shampoo bar that cleans AND imparts a delicate amount of moisture to your hair, we have these delightful bars to offer! They are ecologically friendly, wrapped in glassine-paper (no wax, no plastic!) and with biodegradable labels, too! With these, there is no plastic bottle to go into a landfill. No plastic bottles to end up in the ocean. :) Just an eco-friendly bar of great shampoo and/or conditioner, in eco-friendly paper!
The ingredients in our waste-free, solid shampoo bars are as close to nature as we could come, while still providing a great product that our clients have asked for. If you've ever used these pressed-type bars (called SynDet bars, well known and popular with major makers), you know that they are extremely similar to bottled shampoo in retail stores--but better. The main difference is that our bars contain NO water whatsoever. We use only the best ingredients, as organically processed as are available anywhere. You just wet your hair and apply! Work it in... they lather up extremely well. Then rinse! They smell WONDERFUL, and last a really long time. Try to be sure you keep it out of standing water -- if you allow the bar to dry (or be in a dry place) after using, and it will last much longer.
Shampoo:
Sea Salt and Rice Flower - with Dragon Fruit and Dead Sea clay! This one is really terrific! After MUCH research, I found that pitaya (dragon fruit) is LOADED with B-vitamins... to help make YOUR hair happy, healthy and beautiful! Dead Sea clay is in there for all of the wonderful vitamin-y benefits it has with all it's many minerals. Cupuacu butter in this is super nourishing, and not at all greasy. Then, we added the fantastic camelina oil! It's loaded with Omega 3's, and is said to really help with elasticity. And… rose hips oil, loaded with vitamin C. Next, silk peptides... glorious! This is such a gentle shampoo. We added veggie keratin (also strengthens), vitamin E oil, silk peptides... and the scent is a soft one, From the manufacturer: "...this scent has notes of creamy rice flower, citrus peel, cotton blossoms, night-blooming jasmine, azure sky ozone, grey sea salt, bamboo leaves, vanilla bean, and sheer musk. Powerful and soft, Sea Salt and Rice Flower helps promote relaxation & rejuvenation with its unique aroma."
Conditioner:
Made with moringa oil, this stuff is just terrific for hair! Moringa has been touted to help retain hair color, as well as strengthening the strands. It's also said to repair split ends and help hair retain moisture. This is made using the Sea Salt and Rice Flower fragrance, which is also in the matching Zero Waste shampoo bar. The fragrance notes are: creamy rice flower, citrus peel, cotton blossoms, night-blooming jasmine, azure sky ozone, grey sea salt, bamboo leaves, vanilla bean, and sheer musk. It's bright, very slightly floral, and has a complex scent. This bar has illipe butter, which is also incredible for moisture without oiliness, as well as a touch of coconut oil. There is a very tiny amount of cyclomethicone in the conditioner for detangling and shine, shine, shine. We LOVE this!
Our shampoo bars are about 33% larger than most -- a full 3 ounces, and will last quite a long while for most people. I've found that one bar lasts quite a bit longer than a 16 ounce bottle of shampoo. As I use these, I've found the conditioner does last a bit longer than the shampoo. It just GOES AND GOES... awesome, right?
As we said above, our goal is to provide eco-friendly products, which won't add anything more to landfills or the ocean, so we package our bars in fully biodegradable paper.
